Just how exclusive is the new Hair Soul by Wee-G? The salon, unveiled as part of the newly rebranded Senze Boutique Spa by Senze Salus during its 20th-anniversary celebration in November, features only two private pods.

The pods are equipped with hair-washing chairs and a Bluetooth sound system, allowing clients to pair their devices to the speakers play their own music.

The space is helmed by Mr Go Chee Wee, a master stylist with over 15 years of experience. Impressed by Mr Go’s expertise, founder of Senze Salus, Mr Calvin Ng, invited the 33-year- old to join the spa as its first resident hair artist.

Clients can choose from several hair treatments featuring vegan hair products that are free from harmful chemicals such as phthalates, parabens, mineral oil and formaldehyde.

Like all Senze Salus Spa services, these treatments use distilled-quality water free from chemicals, chlorine and impurities, a rare feature in the spa industry. Scalp care is a key focus in these treatments and Mr Go uses a specialised machine for deep cleansing for optimal results.

However, most clients flock to his signature Hair Design service, which begins with an in-depth analysis of the client’s facial proportions, height, body shape and individual style.

“This approach allows me to visualise multiple hairstyle options that suit them. I then explain each look, helping clients select the one that fits them best,” he says.

The foundational cut then guides his decision on further enhancements, such as colouring, perming or rebonding, to create a perfectly tailored look. Rates for a hair cut start at $88 for men and $128 for women.

“I believe a great hairstyle is about feeling confident every day. As such, I try to create personalised looks that not only enhance your unique features, but are also effortless to maintain,” says Mr Go.
